Cat & Dave on the Trans-Siberian Railway
Hello! Welcome to our tumblr. We are leaving Japan on April 9th for a month long journey through Russia via Trans-Siberian railway, and also stopping in Moldova for a week before returning to the USA. Due to the nature of our travel (and internet access) updates will be sporadic.

Today we arrived in Tottori, our final stop in Japan before we take the boat to Russia and start our Trans-siberian adventure. After dinner at an Izakaya, since we had nothing to do, we decided to walk to the Tottori Sand Dunes, which we’ve heard so much about. We figured it would take us about 45 minutes to walk there; 1.5 hours 7 km later, we were proven incorrect. The dunes were amazing though. There was nobody else there, and they appeared to be completely untouched. Part of the walk to the dunes also took place straddling a river, which was lined with Sakura Trees that bloomed earlier this week (see above).
